Client Reviews

“Our birth plan completely deviated from what we’d hoped for, but if it wasn’t for Michelle, I don’t know how we would have gotten through the emotional turbulence of being black in a high-pressure, profitized hospital setting. She stayed with us while I labored, helped the medical team (many of whom she knew!), and gave us encouragement and support as we navigated a failed induction and subsequent c-section. Givers like Michelle are vital to our community's growth,”

“My husband and I had our first baby in March 2023 and we’re just so glad we found Michelle to be our birth doula and help us through the birthing process. Michelle is very knowledgeable about all aspects of childbirth. She was able to share her knowledge with us as part of a couple of prenatal appointments as well as on the day of delivery.

On the day of delivery, Michelle spent almost 20 hours with us helping guide both my husband and I through all the decisions we will need to make and how we should be thinking about them without overruling the doctors and their medical opinion which we truly appreciated. Michelle’s presence and guidance helped us relax and actually get a decent amount of sleep before the actual pushing even began.”

Michelle was truly a lifesaver! I cannot recommend her highly enough. Although I also had a wonderful team of midwives caring for me, I honestly think having Michelle as my doula was the most crucial part of my birth being a safe and positive experience.
